Wescot Credit Services is a major debt collection agency authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. They work for many organisations in the UK, including all of the large banks, as well as credit card providers, energy, telecoms and other organisations.

The challenge

Wescot acquired the management of collection and recoveries accounts for one of the UK’s top supermarket banks. The accounts were previously managed by other suppliers, so when Wescot onboarded the portfolio, there was a need to migrate all of the accounts under one new system to deliver the quality and level of services required.

Leading up to the new system going live and following an aggressive timeline set for the project, Wescot identified a need for additional specialist resource to meet the challenging delivery dates.

So, they approached Arum for the resource that could provide the right knowledge and experience and we were delighted to help.

The solution

Arum provided Wescot with a team of delivery consultants to support with several milestones, including: supporting various change requests, deployment support, data mapping, liaising with external stakeholders to facilitate processes, data analysis and reconciliation, design activities and project specifications, defect root cause analysis and resolution, and defect management.

Over the course of 14 months, our services supplemented Wescot’s existing work processes and augmented their team which enabled a more effective delivery and greater knowledge pool. The Arum team introduced the new system to key stakeholders to familiarise them with business processes and procedures, as well as internal systems and role assignments.

The results

Our team ensured that Wescot successfully consolidated all the client's collection and recoveries accounts into one system within the targeted timeframe. Arum’s support also had a hugely positive impact on the number of resolved incidents within a short period of time.

Given other priorities, it would have been impossible for Wescot to juggle all the other activities with this deployment and thanks to Arum, this was made easier.
